my one and only
My only Dead show. Got into The Dead in '89 my best friend scored 75 live tapes that year from his brother who flew in from the bay area. Always thought getting tickets was too much of a hassel. '93 was my senior year in H.S. and my best friend passed away the year before so we went to this show to honor him. R.I.P. Jesse. This first set was really good. Ramble on Rose Broken Arrow and Let it Grow are standouts for me. By the 2nd set I was to far gone to remember anything now of it. This recording sounds real good to me. Thanks Jerry (and Jesse) miss you both.

Then Came Sunshine
I remember the show the night before it rained so much. Sting opened up and it was a chilly rainy night. Then on the day of this show just as the band took the stage the sun came out and they opened up with "Here Comes Sunshine". At least that is how I remembered it but then again it might of been the shrooms :)

Decent show all the way through. But, I had to pause to comment on this one. Alls I can say is this: Listen to the Space with some headphones on, the volume up, and a cool head (come on, you know what I mean!). This is really quite cool. Overall, a solid 4 star show.

This is sweet. I really dig Summer 93. Just something right going on during this brief period of 2-3 months. This show had Bobby super into it (Masterpiece was kickass), Phil all over the damn place (Bertha!), Vince adding sweet flourishes on many tunes (Let It Grow) and the tone of Jerry's guitar was clean, sharp and lively throughout (and the Devils brought heat every night). I'm not the expert but I believe JG went to a new guitar in September of that year, or maybe some new effect - all I know is from 9/93 to the final show he often sounded more plink-y than shred-y.
